Plateau United Beat Rangers To Secure NPFL Summit

Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) champions Plateau United have gone to the top of the table after they saw off Enugu Rangers 1-0 at the Rwang Pam Stadium, Jos in a rescheduled game on Wednesday evening.

Chizoba Amaefule was the hero for the hosts as he scored the only goal of the game with 13 minutes left on the clock to hand his side the three points at stake.

The victory was enough to take Plateau United (18 points) to the summit while Enugu Rangers (14 points) stay in 9th spot.

In the other rescheduled games played on Wednesday night, Austine Ogunye scored in the 33rd minute to lead Lobi Stars to a 1-0 home win over former league leaders Akwa United while Sunshine Stars defeated MFM FC 2-1 at home in the South West Derby.
