Watford Complete Adam Masina Transfer From Bologna

Premier League side Watford have completed the signing of Italian defender Adam Masina from Bologna.

Masina, 24, joins Watford from the Italian Serie-A side after signing a five-year contract in a £3.5m deal at the Premier League side, who finished 14th in the league last season.

The Morocco-born player was part of the youth setup at Bologna before he was promoted to the first team in 2013.

Adam Masina went on to play 131 times for Bologna in a five-year spell with the senior team.

The former Italian U-21 international is Watford’s fourth summer signing following the arrivals of Gerard Deulofeu, Marc Navarro and Ben Wilmot.

Deulofeu, 23, had spent the second half of last season on loan at the London club from Spanish champions Barcelona as he helped them escape relegation via a 14th placed finish.

The Spanish international winger has made his move to Vicarage Road permanent for an initial fee of £11.5m.

22-year-old right-back Navarro joins the club from Spanish La Liga side Espanyol for an undisclosed fee, while central defender Wilmots, 19, has arrived from English League Two side Stevenage.
