In the autumn of 2023, Lagos successfully hosted 1xCup, a big football tournament among amateur teams. From October 3 to November 23, the fans’ attention was focused on exciting matches between squads from 5 city communities. All the participants had an opportunity to show their football skills, while the winners and finalists were awarded cash prizes. 3 months later, we talked to the 1xCup winners and found out how their lives changed over the past time.
