Odion Ighalo And Victor Moses On Verge of Europa League Round of 16 Faceoff

Two former Nigerian Internationals Odion Ighalo and Victor Moses are on the verge of meeting in the Europa League.

Victor Moses reunited with former boss Antonio Conte at Italian Serie A side Inter Milan while Odion Ighalo joined Manchester United on loan in the final minutes of the January transfer window from Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua.

Both players have been included in the Europa League squads for their respective clubs.

Inter Milan dropped out of the UEFA Champions League and will face Ludogorets in the round of 32 while Manchester United face Club Brugge.

There is a chance that both sides could meet in the round of 16 if they both scale past their round of 32 opponents considering that draws for knockout stages are open as no teams are seeded.

Ighalo put an end to his national team career after the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations where he emerged the Golden Boot award winner having earlier registered the highest number of goals during the qualifiers.

He donned the Super Eagles jersey 35 times and scored 16 goals between March 2015 to July 2019.

Moses announced his retirement from international football at the age of 27 shortly after the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

The former Chelsea winger played 37 times for his country, scoring 12 times since making his debut in 2012.
