Nigeria? Nah! Germany Coach Low Identifies Morocco As Africa’s Biggest Threat In Russia

Germany’s World Cup winning coach Joachim Low has identified Morocco as Africa’s biggest threat at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia ahead of more experienced sides like Nigeria, Tunisia etc.

Low, who is the incumbent World Cup winning coach, was speaking about potential giantkillers at next year’s World Cup. He said: “We know some very good teams from all over the World are coming, like in Africa Morocco did well in the qualifying series and they will be the team most people would be expecting to pull surprises from Africa.”

The Atlas Lions of Morocco have improved greatly since highly rated Frenchman Herve Renard took charge as head coach.

The former Zambia and Ivory Coast coach was hugely instrumental as the North African side secured a Russia 2018 spot ahead of Ivory Coast, Gabon and Mali.
