Spanish Copa Del Rey Review: Barcelona and Valencia Secure First Leg Leads

Spanish Copa Del Rey champions and La Liga leaders Barcelona have all but sealed their place in the last 16 after an under strength side defeated Real Murcia 3-0 ahead of their second leg at the Nou Camp next month.

Former Valencia striker Paco Alcacer gave the visitors the lead just before halftime before Gerard Deulofeu and debutant José Arnair added further goals in the second half to make it a comprehensive win in the first leg of their round of 32 clash.

La Liga high flyers Valencia also made a big step towards the next round following a 2-0 win at Real Zaragoza through two late goals from Rodrigo and Dani Parejo (penalty).

Sevilla also won their Copa Del Rey clash against Cartegena 3-0 with goals from Pablo Sarabia, Joaquin Correa and Luis Muriel to relief the pressure on new manager Eduardo Berizzo.
