Nwabali Bags Chieftaincy Title In Rivers State

Super Eagles and Chippa United goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali, was on Sunday conferred with a chieftaincy title in Rivers State.

Nwabali was conferred with the chieftaincy title by the traditional ruler of Mgbede community in Egbema Kingdom, Rivers State, Nzeobi Amida.

The title, Ugo Egbema “The Pride of Egbema Kingdom”, was conferred on Nwabali following his impressive performance at the AFCON 2023 African in Cote D’Ivoire.

Nwabali was drafted just weeks before the commencement of the tournament following poor performance by Francis Uzoho.

He kept four consecutive clean sheets and also made two saves in the penalty shootout win against South Africa in the semi-finals.

Following his impressive performance in Côte d’Ivoire, there have been talks about a move to Europe for Nwabali.

Also, South Africa’s league giants Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates have been linked with the shot stopper.
