NPFL: Plateau United In Lagos To Beat MFM – Maikaba (AUDIO)

Plateau United coach Abdu Maikaba says his team is prepared to grab all three points at stake against MFM FC when both teams clash in Lagos on Sunday.

The league leaders face The Olukoya Boys in what promises to be an explosive Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Match Day 17 encounter at the Agege Stadium, nicknamed the Soccer temple.

Speaking exclusively to www.busybuddiesng.com, the former Akwa United coach said The Peace Boys have to be more consistent in picking away points if they must realize their ambition of winning the League this season.

“In all the games we’ve played, we planned to make sure we get the maximum three points, but sometimes you plan, and you don’t get the results according to your plan,” the soft-talking tactician informed.”

“Actually we have planned so well against MFM because we have lost recent away games, about three in a row, and we have to put a stop it if we are really serious about our aspiration of winning the league.

“So, we’ll go and put our best and see. We don’t look at other opponents, their results can be anyhow, but our own comes first, let’s win our own, that is the most important. That is what we are going to try in Lagos.”

Maikaba’s Plateau United are top of the NPFL log only on goal difference (+14) with 28pts, same number of points as Lobi Stars (+10) and Rivers United (+7), while their opponents on Sunday MFM have are in 8th place with 22pts (with a game in hand).
