NPFL Matchday 22 Review: Lobi Extend Lead As Pillars, Tornadoes Secure Away Results

Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) leaders Lobi Stars have stretched their lead at the top of the table to four points after their 1-0 victory over champions Plateau United in a Matchday 22 clash played on Sunday evening.

CHAN Eagles star Anthony Okpotu was the hero for the hosts as he scored the only goal of the game on 64 minutes to hand his side the three points at stake.

Kano Pillars and Niger Tornadoes picked up respective away results in the picks of other games.

Kano Pillars played out a goalless draw at the home of Nasarawa United to go second while Tornadoes stunned FC IfeanyiUbah 2-1 in front of their home faithful courtesy goals from Mubarak Ejiogu and Usmar Bashir.
