NPFL Latest: Plateau United Edge Battle Of Last Season’s Top Two To Move Three Points Clear

Champions Plateau United have moved three points clear at the top of the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) table after they defeated MFM FC of Lagos 1-0 at the Rwang Pam Stadium in Jos in what was the battle of last season’s top two.

Tosin Omoyele was the hero for the hosts as he scored the only goal of the game in the opening minute of the absorbing Matchday 5 encounter to hand Kennedy Boboye’s side the three points at stake.

The win takes Plateau United (12 points) three points clear of Akwa United in second place while MFM are languishing in 14th position after amassing 6 points from the first five league games of the season.
