Hosts Morocco and Sudan have booked their spots in the semi-final stage of the ongoing 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) after wins over Namibia and Zambia respectively.
Morocco saw off Namibia 2-0 courtesy goals from the tournament’s leading goalscorer Ayoub El Kaabi and Salaheddine Saidi.
El Kaabi scored his 6th goal of the tournament to give his side the lead with eight first half minutes remaining before Saidi wrapped up the victory ten minutes into the second half.
Sudan are also through to the semi-finals after they stunned favourites Zambia with a 1-0 win courtesy Saifeldin Bakhit’s 32nd minute strike.
Morocco will now face the winner of Sunday’s quarter-final clash between Congo and Libya while Sudan battle the winner of Sunday’s other quarter-final between Nigeria and Angola.
