Falconets Off To France After Thumping Basetsana Win

Nigeria’s national female U20 team, Falconets, have qualified for the World Cup in France following their big aggregate win over the Basetsana of South Africa.

Armed with a 2-0 lead from the first leg, the team flee out of the blocks with five first half goals from Rasheedat Ajibade (2), Anam Imo (2) and Gift Monday.

The intensity of the first half didn’t match that of the second half though the team still managed to add one more goal through the aforementioned Monday for a 6-0 win and an 8-0 aggregate win before she was sent off for two yellow cards thus ruling her out of the first group game at the FIFA Women’s U20 World Cup in France.

Nigeria will fly Africa’s flag at the tournament alongside Ghana who saw off Cameroon 4-1 on aggregate.
