NPFL: Former Pillars Stalwart Gambo Muhammad Signs For Katsina United

Katsina United have acquired the services of veteran striker and former Kano Pillars skipper Gambo Muhammad.

Muhammad ended his 12-year stint with the Sai Masu Gida after he opted to prolong his playing career over the choice of the 4-times Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champion’s decision to ease him into coaching by sending him on a coaching course at the National Institute of Sports (NIS).

He has now signed for Katsina United ahead of the 2019/2020 NPFL season and would be expected to shoulder the goal scoring burden in place of last season’s top scorer Martins Usule who transferred to Enyimba in the close season.

Gambo Muhammad won four league titles with Pillars and was part of the squad that won a first ever Aiteo Cup for the club in July 2019.
