Neymar Unveiling – Watch Paris Welcome Neymar To Paris Saint-Germain

Brazilian superstar and worlds most expensive footballer, Neymar Jr, have been officially unveiled as a Paris Saint-Germain player, after completing his world record move from Barcelona.

25-year-old Neymar completed his £200m move to the French capital on Thursday, and will reportedly earn £40.3m in wages per year after tax, with around £515,000-a-week.

Speaking at his unveiling, the Brazilian expressed his displeasure at rumours suggesting his move away from the Camp Nou was motivated by money, saying: “What I say to these people is they don’t know anything about my personal life, I was never motivated by money.

“If I was following the money, I would be somewhere else, with other clubs in other countries. I’m really sad that people still think that way and I’m glad that PSG believe in me.”

PSG Chairman/CEO, Al-Khelaïfi, echoed Neymar’s earlier point, adding that “Neymar came here for motivation, a project that he believed in. He can get much more money than we give him, that’s for sure”.

Neymar also thanked new teammate, Javier Pastore, who offered his number 10 jersey to the Brazilian, saiying:  “I would like to thank Javier Pastore for giving me his number. All credit and respect to him.”

Pastore had declared earlier in the week that he “want to give him all the support he needs so we can win the Champions League together.”

“It’s a small detail, but for me it was very important to have it. Now I want to welcome him with that symbol.” he Argentine added.

Al Khelaifi also gave a hint of Neymar’s financial impact on the club, he said: “Before Neymar the value of the club was $1bn, now it is $1.5bn.”

“Today is expensive but in two or three years? I do not think it is expensive, we will definitely make more money. This is the power of PSG. It is an amazing transfer.”
