Mou In Trouble Again? United Manager Asked To Explain Pre-Manchester Derby Comments

The English Football Association (FA) has asked the Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, to explain the Pre-Manchester Derby comments he made before the huge Premier League clash between the top two at Old Trafford

The Portuguese was asked to explain the comments he made to the media before the game and he has until 6pm on Monday, December 18 to respond.

The new development was made known in a statement released by the FA.

The former Chelsea and Real Madrid manager appeared to accuse rivals Manchester City of gamesmanship as he said: “A little bit of wind and they fall.”

He also talked about how City use “tactical fouls” to break down opposition play.

Mourinho saw his Manchester United side lose 2-1 to City in a game that was marred by a post-match fracas in the tunnel at Old Trafford.

The FA has already asked the two clubs for their observations regarding the ‘Milkgate” incident, which reportedly saw Mourinho splashed with water and milk.

An FA statement on the development said: “The FA has requested observations from Jose Mourinho for pre-match media comments he made on Friday 8 December, prior to last Sunday’s match against Manchester City.

“He has until 6pm on Monday 18 December to respond.” the statement further said.
