Luton Boss Hails Nigerian Striker After Hat-trick Heroics Against Brighton

Luton Town manager, Rob Edwards, has showered encomiums on Elijah Adebayo, predicting he has a “high ceiling” to what he can achieve.

Adebayor netted a hat-trick to help Luton to a 4-0 win against Brighton in Tuesday’s Premier League game.

The England-born Nigerian striker has now scored eight goals in the Premier League this season.

Luton have now moved out of the bottom three for the first time in nearly two months thanks to the impressive win.

The 26-year-old got his first goal after just 19 seconds before Chiedozie Ogbene added a second less than two minutes later.

Adebayo grabbed his second, staying onside to receive Ross Barkley’s pass and lashing the ball inside the near post.

He then completed his hat-trick after 56 minutes, heading in from Alfie Doughty’s corner as Brighton’s defence did little more than stand and watch.
