Former Cote d’Ivoire forward, Arouna Kone has tipped the Super Eagles, Senegal, Morocco, Morocco and the host as favourites to win the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Recall that the Super Eagles will be gunning for their fourth AFCON title after winning it in 1980, 1994 and 2013.
However, Kone, in an interview with Sport Ivoire, believed Nigeria and other aforementioned teams are the natural favourites to win the tournament.
“I would say at first glance Ivory Coast. I’m not saying it because I’m Ivorian. But I say it because we have quality in our team,” the former Everton man told Sport Ivoire.
