Joshua Still Open To Wilder Fight After Win Against Wallin

Anthony Joshua has said he has not shut the door on a possible fight with former world champion Deontay Wilder.

Joshua recorded a fifth round technical knockout win against Swede heavyweight Otto Wallin on Saturday night in Riyadh, Saudia Arabia.

However, Wilder lost to Joseph Parker on the same night with a scorecard of 118-111, 118-110 and 120-108.

Joshua and Wilder, had signed to fight twice in 2024 but a third loss within the latter’s last four fights has seen the mega-fight go from a certainty to hanging on by a threat.

Matchroom Boxing promoter, Eddie Hearn, immediately said after the fight that they will dismiss Wilder and target IBF number one Filipino Hrgovic instead.

While many expected that result against Parker might jeopardize a potential bout, Joshua is not ruling out the possibility.
