Mourinho Tips Argentina And Nigeria To Qualify From Group D

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has predicted that two-time World Cup winners Argentina and the Super Eagles of Nigeria will qualify from Group D.

The former Real Madrid and Chelsea boss said this while he was on a Russia international television network, RT, as a guest.

He predicted the teams that will qualify for the knockout stage from each group.

The Super Eagles have been drawn in Group A alongside Croatia, Argentina and Iceland.
From Group A, Mourinho opted for Uruguay and hosts Russia before picking Spain and his native Portugal in Group B.

He chose France and Australia in Group C, while Brazil and Switzerland were the countries he opted for in Group E.

Mourinho chose defending champions Germany and Mexico as well as England and Belgium in Group F and G respectively.

According to him, Senegal and Poland will secure knockout stage spots from Group H.
Jose Mourinho thereafter admitted that he’s torn between his players doing well at the tournament and them returning early ahead of the new season.

He said: “I want my players to win, but I also want my players to go on holiday. So this will be tough.”
