Iwobi, Bassey Help Fulham Defeat Everton To Reach First-Ever Carabao Cup Semi-finals

Super Eagles stars Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey were in action for Fulham who defeated Everton on penalty shootout to reach a first-ever Carabao Cup semi-finals.

Fulham triumphed 7-6 on penalties after 90 minutes of football ended 1-1.

A Michael Keane one goal on 41 minutes gave Fulham the lead before Beto equalised for Everton on 82 minutes.

The game went straight into penalty shootout and Amadou Onana had the chance to make it 5-3 and win it for Everton after Decordova-Reid’s attempt was saved by Jordan Pickford.

Unfortunately, Onana’s weak effort was saved by former Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno.
