Nigeria’s Edem Offiong will face  Dina Meshref in the ITTF Africa Top 16 Cup final after defeating Henry Yousra 6-11,14-16,11-8, 11-7,11-7,11-6 in Tunisia.

The victory means Edem will be among Nigeria’s representatives at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics at Japan.

The 33-year-old qualified for the semi-final of the Table Tennis event after outclassing Fadwa Garci 11-8, 7-11, 11-5, 11-8, 11-6) in the quarterfinals.

The two-time Africa Top 16 Bronze medalist began this year’s edition with an 8-11, 11-9, 11-7, 11-6 win over Tunisia’s Safa Saidani before beating South Africa’s Simeen Mookrey 11-3, 8-11, 11-3, 11-7.

Edem Offiong will hope to clinch her first gold at the ITTF AfricaCup final where Dina Meshref calmly awaits.
