Hapoel Beer-Sheva midfielder, John Ogu has been mocked by a fan of Israeli Premier League table toppers, Maccabi Tel-Aviv, for saying the club has a “loser mentality”.

In a tweet, Jonathan M. (@Yoninos) called out the Super Eagles player saying John Ogu shaded them for having a “loser mentality” in May of 2017 when Maccabi were trailing Beer-Sheva.

He claims Ogu said Maccabi’s days of glory are over but now they are 21 points clear of ‘The Camels’. 

However, Ogu who is an avid user of the social network quickly replied the fan, cautioning him not to misquote what he said then. 

The 30-year old claims he only said his club were enjoying their glory days and now that the tables have turned, ‘The Yellow Ones’ should also enjoy their time at the top. Ogu later deleted the reply.

Beer-Sheva, who topped the table last season to qualify for the UEFA Champions League playoffs, have struggled to return to last season’s form with 25 points from 18 games and languishing in the seventh position.
