Idowu: This Will Be Messi’s Last World Cup Game (Audio)

Amkar Pam and Super Eagles of Nigeria defender Bryan Idowu has stated his desire to ensure that Messi’s plays no more part in the FIFA World Cup after the game against Nigeria on Tuesday evening.

Barcelona star Lionel Messi celebrated his 31st birthday on Sunday and it is increasingly possible that the five-time World Footballer of the year will retire from international football after his participation in Russia 2018.

Argentina have found themselves in a precarious situation where they absolutely have to win to ensure that they qualify for the next round but Idowu and his team mates are looking to crush those hopes as Nigeria also comes into the game with a chance of qualifying from the group.

Anything short of a win for the Albiceleste means that they will be crashing out and Idowu hopes that will be the case, effectively ensuring that Messi probably is not seen on a FIFA World Cup pitch again.
