Ideye To Earn Eagles Recall Ahead Of Poland, Serbia Friendlies

Malaga forward Brown Ideye will return to the Super Eagles fold ahead of next month’s international friendly games with Poland and Serbia.

This was revealed by a close source to the Super Eagles team with previously injured stars like Victor Moses, Ogenyi Onazi and others also expected to be named on the latest Super Eagles list.

As part of preparation ahead of this summer’s FIFA World Cup in Russia, the Super Eagles of Nigeria will tackle Poland in Warsaw March 23 before taking on Serbia four days later in London.

According to the source via complete sports, Super Eagles stars like Elderson Echiejile, Mikel Agu, Odion Ighalo and Ogenyi Onazi will be named in the 25-man squad for the friendlies after they missed the last set of games against Algeria and Argentina due to injuries.

The source said: “No major surprises in the team list actually, but it’s more likely Ideye returns but Nwakeame won’t be in the squad.”

“The first team players who missed the last two games in November will be included.” the source added.

Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr is expected to announce the 25-man squad before Friday with invited players scheduled to arrive in Poland from March 19 for the friendlies.
