Bundesliga Review: Dortmund Fail To Strengthen Top Four Bid With Augsburg Draw

Borussia Dortmund have failed to strengthen their top four bid in the German Bundesliga after they were forced to a 1-1 draw with Augsurg in a Matchday 24 clash played on Monday night.

Marco Reus shot the hosts into the lead on 16 minutes but were pegged back in the second half by Kevin Danso as both sides shared the spoils.

With the draw, second-placed Borussia Dortmund (41 points) fail to really close the gap on leaders Bayern Munich with the Signa Iduna Park outfit now 19 points behind the Bavarian giants.

They are also locked in a keenly contested battle for the Champions League spots (Top Four).

On the other hand, Augsburg move two places from 10th to 8th on the league table after 32 points from 24 league games.
