Contrary to widely circulated reports, Everton midfielder, Ross Barkley has declared that he did not undertake medicals with any Premier League club on summer transfer deadline day.
23-year-old Barkley was reported to have pulled out of a move to Chelsea on Thursday while undertaking his medicals with the Stamford Bridge outfit.
In a series of tweets on his official twitter handle, Barkley revealed that his decision to stay at Everton was solely due to his injury.
He said: “I simply decided that due to my injury, it would be best to make a decision on my future and assess all my options in January when fully fit.”
Contrary to a number of reports in the press, I did not undertake a medical with any club at any point.
