Hopeful Ayeleso Sets Sights on Winning FA Cup with Kano Pillars

Kano pillars Goal tender Suraj Ayeleso has set his sights on winning this year’s edition of the Aiteo Cup.

The Goalkeeper who joined the 2018 Aiteo Cup finalists after a three-year stint with Nasarawa United has made three appearances for the Sai Masu Gida this season, all those coming at the super six playoffs where he kept two clean sheets.

The boys from the Pyramid City have already secured their semifinal spot after a 4-nil bashing of Nasarawa based Aklosendi FC in Kaduna.

Speaking after the game, Suraj Ayeleso maintained that Aklosendi was a good side while relating his desire to win the competition.

“With all due respect I don’t think Aklosendi had the capacity of defeating us, after defeating Nasarawa United and EFCC we came together and said we will not give these lads any opportunity for an upset and thank God we executed the game to perfection, now we will concentrate and work hard so as to play in another final then hopefully win this year’s edition of the Aiteo Cup”, he stated.

Ayeleso has already played in a Federation Cup final with Nasarawa United in 2016 where he lost on penalties to Ifeanyi Ubah FC and he’ll be aiming to get a winners medal this year, but will first need to cross the hurdle of Calabar Rovers in the semi-final.
