Go Round FC have emerged as the Nigeria National League (NNL) champions after the Omoku-based side defeated Heartland 2-1 in their Super Four Final clash at the Agege Stadium in Lagos on Tuesday evening.

Solomon Nwachukwu was the hero for Ngozi Elechi’s side as he netted a brace either side of Heartland forward Lucky Emariojoke’s leveller to hand his side an important victory.

The victory is a morale boosting one ahead of Go Round’s Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) season opener away at Wikki Tourists on Sunday, January 14 while losing finalists Heartland will entertain Sunshine Stars at home on the same day.
