League leaders Bayern Munich have gone 14 points clear at the top of the German Bundesliga table after they secured a crucial 3-1 win over their hosts Bayer Leverkusen in a week 18 clash.
Spanish midfielder Javier Martinez gave the away side a first half lead before French winger Franck Ribery added a second goal just before the hour mark.
Bayer Leverkusen forward Kevin Volland pulled one back with 20 minutes to go to setup a grandstand finish before Colombian winger James Rodriguez sealed the result on the stroke of full time.
The victory takes Bayern to 44 points and 14 points clear ahead of nearest challengers Schalke 04 (30 points) while Bayer Leverkusen (28 points) still maintain their 4th position.
