ENGLAND

In a more ritual fashion we take off our ride from the buzz of the English premier league action as Chelsea’s Victor Moses continued his recuperation on the sidelines for the league champions who crawled steadily from behind to steal maximum point in their 4-2 home win over Watford.

Moses who last played for the Blues against Crystal Palace watched on as his side recorded their first victory in 4 games in all competitions against the Hornets.

Also sitting out the game was Watford’s Isaac Success who is due to return in a week’s time for the Vicarage road side.

At the Liberty stadium now, Wilfred Onyinye continued to soar for Leicester City as the returned back to winning ways with a 1-2 away win over Swansea City

Meanwhile, fellow countrymen, Ahmed Musa and Kelechi Iheanacho all were missing in action for the Foxes in what was their 2nd win of the season.

Alex Iwobi watched from the substitute bench in Arsenal’s 2-5 come back victory over Everton at the Goodison Park.

CHAMPIONSHIP

Nigeria’s Ola Aina and Hull City continued their fine form this season as they traveled away to Barnsley to pick up their  4th victory of the campaign.

Chelsea loanee, Aina who has become an important figure in the Hull City team completed his 13th successive league appearances for the Tigers who are currently, 14th on the Championship table.

Sone Aluko saw 66 minutes of action for Reading as they lost out 1-2 away to Sheffield United at the Bramal Lane.

BELGIUM

In Belgium, Moses Simon was on hand to open the scoring for Gent against Abdul Ajagun’s Kortrijk in their 1-1 draw at the Guldensporenstadion.

The game which was Gent’s 5th draw of the season also saw the duo of Anderson Esiti and 20-year-0ld Samuel Kalu both make their 10th and 8th appearance of the season respectively, for De Buffalos who have just on ewin in their last 4 games.

At the Constant Vandem Stock, on fire Henry Chukkwuma was left drowning with his team, Anderlecht after they recorded a shocking solitary goal loss in the hands of Genk.

Onyekuru who is amongst the league’s top scorers with 6 goals has made 10 league appearances for the league champions this term.

Oyo state born forward, Peter Olayinka enjoyed the whole match duration for Zulte-Waregem as they punished 2-5 in their 11th league fixture against Waasland-Beveren.

21-year-old Olayinka is on a season loan deal from Gent and has 4 goals to his name after 11 league games this season.

Eagles midfielder, Henry Uche Abgo and Taiwo Awoniyi were all business minded as both filled out for Standard Liege and Royal Excel Mouscron respectively, as the former ran away 1-3 victors over their hosts at the Stade Le Cannonier.

 

GERMANY

We head to the Gernan Bundesliga now where Super Eagles defender, Leon Balogun could not complete his 4th league appearance of the season after he was substituted following a suspected cheek bone fracture in Mainz’ 2-0 away loss to Schalke 04.

18-year-old Victor Osimhen was not listed for Wolfsburg’s 9th league fixture in their 1-1 stalemate fight back against 4th placed Hoffenheim.

Osimhen is yet to open his goal account for The Wolves after completing two league appearances this term.

AUSTRIA

Alhassan Ibrahim and Austra Wien continued their winless streak with their latest loss coming off their lone goal home defeat against 10-men Rapid Wien in a feisty encounter at the Ernst Happel Stadion.

Muazzam and Austria Wein are now without a victory in their last three games and are consequently, 4th on the Bundesliga table.

TURKEY

We fly now to Turkey where Ogenyi Onazi saw 60 minutes of action for 9-men Trabzonspor who recorded their 4th loss of the campaign after they failed to come back from a lone goal slump against Yeni Malatyaspor.

Nigeria youth international, Okechukwu Azubuike was however, not listed for the game for Yeni Malatyaspor.

It was all smiles for Aminu Umar and Osmanlispor as they returned back to winning ways with an emphatic 3-0 victory over Karabukspor at the Osmanli stadium.

Meanwhile, another Super Eagles midfielder, Raheem Lawal saw the whole match duration from the bench.

23-year-old Imo Ezekiel, was missing in action for 17th placed Konyaspor as they continued to plummet with a 2-1 away loss to Kayserispor.

The Nigerian duo of William Troost Ekong and Mikel Agu were both in action for Bursaspor’s barren draw against Elderson Echiejile’s Sivasspor.

29-year-old Echiejile did not feature in the game for Sivasspor as he continued to recover from the injury he picked up whilst on international duties for Nigeria.

2013 African nations cup winning defender, Kenneth Omeruo was on hand to complete his 5th league appearance for disastrous Kasimpasa as they once again lost for the 4th time in five games in their 2-1 defeat against host, Antalyaspor.

Former Akwa United forward, Emem Eduok was not listed for Kasimpasa in the loss.

 

CHINA

As always we finish the rundown at the climaxing Chinese Super league as Nigeria’s Odion Jude Ighalo scored one and provided on assist for Changchun Yatai’s impressive 3-1 win over Jiangsu Suning at the Development Area stadium.

The 28-year-old former Watford poacher has scored 15 league goals in his maiden campaign in China after a turbulent start of the season.

Super Eagles captain, John Mikel Obi was sensational as always for Tianjin Teda who are out of relegation threat after their 2-0 triumph over Beijing Guoan.

Mikel and Tianjin Teda are unbeaten in their last four league matches and they yet to drop a single point having scored a total of 11 goals in resurgence.

Former Eagles forward, Obafemi Martins enjoyed 79 minutes of action for Shanghai Shenhua in his team’s 1-1 draw against Chongqing Lifan.

27-year-old Anthony Ujah failed to help Liaoning Hongyun in their latest 3-1 defeat away to Shandong Luneng which confirmed their relegation from the Chinese Super league.
