Exclusive: Former NPFL Top Scorer Moves To Kazakhstan

Former Super Eagles striker, Gbolahan Salami has revealed exclusively to busybuddiesng.com that he has completed a move to Irtysh Pavlador.

The Lagos-born forward nicknamed Enfant terrible because of his “bad boy behaviour” transfers on a free after spending a Couple of seasons in the Finnish Veikkausliiga with KuPS.

He was joint top scorer for last season’s league runners up KuPS alongside Finnish forward, Urho Nissila. Both players ended the season with nine league goals.

“I made friends and enjoyed playing football in Finland but it’s time for a new challenge,” said Salami who has signed a one year contract with Irtysh who finished fourth in the Kazakhstan league last season.

Salami who has been keeping fit in the off season with Lagos based amateur club G12 FC is a former top scorer in the Nigerian league. He played for Warri Wolves, Sunshine Stars, Shooting Stars and Enyimba FC before leaving for Europe in 2015.
