Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen has bagged the Premier League Goal of the Month Award for April.

The Dane won the award for his strike during his side’s 3-1 win at Chelsea in what was a crucial game in the race for the top four and UEFA Champions League next season.

Speaking while picking up the award, Eriksen told PremierLeague.com that: “Before I received the ball I knew I had some space to take it into and to get my shot away.

“It’s definitely up there [as one of my best] and it’s one of my most important goals. I am pleased with how it went in.” he concluded.
