A heavily pregnant Aminat Idrees became the first person to win a gold medal for Lagos State at the on-going National Sports Festival (NSF) in Edo State.

Idrees who is eight months pregnant won gold in the Mixed Poomsae category in Taekwondo alongside her male teammate, Arowora Roqeeb on Monday.

Idrees is currently one of the leading medalists at the festival having also won silver in the female team Poomsae category as well as an individual bronze in the same category.

The 20th edition of the festival which commenced on Sunday will come to a close on 14 April.
