Eagles Camp Update: Iheanacho, Iwobi And Others Swell Number Of Players To 17

Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho, Arsenal star Alex Iwobi and nine others have boosted the number of players in camp to 17 following their arrival on Tuesday.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have kicked off preparations ahead of this summer’s FIFA World Cup in Russia starting with the international friendly match with DR Congo billed for Port Harcourt on May 28.

Head coach Gernot Rohr and his wards are currently in Uyo before moving to Port Harcourt for the DR Congo clash.

Other arrivals on Tuesday include Francis Uzoho, Wilfred Ndidi, Oghenekaro Etebo, Ola Aina, Chidozie Awaziem and Daniel Akpeyi.

The no. of players currently in the Uyo camp of the Super Eagles was confirmed via the team’s official Twitter handle.
