Dangote Targets Arsenal Takeover In 2020

Africa’s richest man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote has set his sights on taking over Premier League giants Arsenal by 2020.

The 61-year-old is a renowned Arsenal supporter and has previously stated his desire to become the owner of the North London giants.

He reiterated his desire to own the club in his interview with Reuters before stating that the takeover would only be after the completion of his oil refinery project in Lagos.

In his words, Dangote, who is worth £10bn said: “We will go after Arsenal from 2020, even if somebody buys, we will still go after it.”

Arsenal will start the new football season under a new manager after the appointment of Unai Emery.

Former manager Arsene Wenger ended his 22-year reign at the club at the end of last season.
