Former Nigeria U-17 midfielder Chidiebere Nwakali has joined Swedish club side Kalmar FF on a two-year loan deal.
The former Manchester City team B player became a free agent last summer after he was released by the before he joined Polish side Rakow Czestochowa but ended his stay with the club after just two appearance due to personal reasons.
Chidiebere Nwakali and his brother Kelechi Nwakali gave an impressive performance in Nigeria’s friendly game with Atletico Madrid in Uyo in May 2018.
Chidiebere has not had the opportunity to prove himself with big-name clubs with loan spells at Sogndal, IK Start, and Aberdeen while at Manchester City.
The 22-year-old will partner up with compatriots, Chima Akas and Gbenga Arokoyo ahead of the new season and will give ample attacking options to Kalmar who finished in 10th last season.
