Bronze medal winner in the Hammer Throw event (women), Jennifer Batu Bawsikita has berated the lack of organisation being witnessed at the ongoing African Senior Athletics Championship in Asaba.

The competition has been marred by several setbacks ranging from event reschudling to international athletes being left stranded at the airport to organisational problems and many more.

Speaking after she won bronze in the hammer throw event, the Congolese athlete decried the level of organisation at the Athletics Championship.

When asked about the competition in Asaba, Bawsikita said: “It’s very very bad. Bad is small, it’s shameful.”

Jennifer Batu Bawsikita returned with a time of 66.43m to win bronze in the hammer throw event behind Nigerian silver medallist Temilola Ogunrinde (67.39m) and Moroccan gold medallist Zakour Soukaina (68.28m).
