The Confederation of African Football (CAF) have decided to postpone the African Nations Championship (CHAN) due to the increasing number of coronavirus cases in Africa according to Nuhu Adams, a Ghanaian sports journalist.

The tournament was scheduled to commence from 4th through 25th of April 2020 in Cameroon.

The new date for the competition has not be revealed. Hence, the uncertainty on when the competition will later place.

Several African leagues have been suspended with the latest – that of Botswana.
