CAFCC: Enyimba In Closed-Camping Ahead Of Galaxy Clash

Two-time African champions Enyimba have gone into closed-camping ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup first leg playoff fixture against South African second division side, TS Galaxy.

The Enyimba contingent, comprising of players and officials, arrived Ota in Ogun State on Thursday night to begin a two-week close camping exercise in readiness for the first leg tie scheduled for 27 October in Aba.

The 8-time Nigerian champions were on Wednesday in Cairo, drawn to face the South Africa Cup holders in the playoff stage of the Confederation Cup after dropping down from the lucrative CAF Champions League.

Aggregate winners of the two-legged tie will advance to the group stage of this season’s competition.

Enyimba reached the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup in 2018, losing to eventual champions, Raja Casablanca of Morocco.

While in Ota, head coach Usman Abd’Allah is expected to perfect his tactics and formation with minimal distraction ahead of the crunch tie in Aba.
