CAF CC: Rangers To Give Nigeria ‘Good Representation’ – Ifeanyi George

Rangers forward Ifeanyi George has promised the club will give Nigeria ‘good representation’ in the 2019/2020 CAF Confederation Cup.

The Flying Antelopes, who reached the group stage of the competition last season, will open their campaign this term with a clash against Gabonese newcomers, AS Pelican on the weekend of 13th to 15th September, after being drawn bye in the preliminary round.

George’s promise and perceived optimism are as a result of the quality of players at the team’s disposal.

“When I look at the array of star players in our fold, I cannot but walk tall as we are sure to make a very good representation for our country,” the former Enyimba striker said.

“I don’t want to be seen as too confident, but we hope to put our acts together and challenge for trophies on all fronts.

“The management has done very well in bringing players from other top sides in the land which makes every player to be at their best at all times.”

The 7-time NPFL champions are currently in close camping at Nanka, Anambra State, where they are preparing for their first leg first round tie against Pelican away from home.
