Enyimba have left themselves with a mountain to climb to progress to the semifinal of the CAF Confederation Cup after they were held to a 1-1 draw in Aba by Guinean side Horoya AC in the first leg of their quarterfinal tie.

The Aba Elephants looked to have an auspicious beginning when Austin Oladapo gave them the lead in the 18th minute.

But the Nigerian champions were pegged back 19 minutes to the end of the match as Substitute Boniface Haba grabbed a precious away goal for the Guineans.

The result leaves Horoya finely poised for a place in the semifinal and Enyimba with all to play for in the return leg at the Stade du 28 Septembre in Conakry next week.
