Barcelona Set To Appoint Ex-Bayern Coach Hansi Flick

Just hours after announcing the departure of Xavi Hernández at the end of the season, Barcelona have already taken the decisive steps to secure a deal with former Bayern Munich and Germany manager Hansi Flick.

Flick will become the Barcelona’s next first team head coach, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The Italian journalist reports that Flick will sign a full two-year deal instead of the one-year agreement with an option for a second season that was initially reported.

Flick came onto the scene when he took over at Bayern after the sacking of Nico Kovac in 2019 and went on to win the Sextuple in 2020 which included the infamous 8-2 win over Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-finals.
