Super Eagles striker, Taiwo Awoniyi was in action as Man United knocked Nottingham Forest out of the FA on Wednesday.

The Nigerian international who was a nightmare for Man United defence could have put the host on the lead in the first half but his shot was well parried away by goalkeeper, Onana.

His constant threat up front failed to yield a goal for Nottingham Forest despite their domination of possession.

However, Casemiro netted the only goal of the game in the 89th minute to break the heart Nottingham Forest fans.

Meanwhile, Awoniyi’s Nigerian compatriot, Ola Aina was missing in action.

Recall that Aina had a sterling performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, where the Super Eagles lost the final 2-1 to Ivory Coast.
