Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic has admitted that the Super Eagles of Nigeria are a dangerous side ahead of his Croatian side’s meeting with the three-time African champions at the weekend.
Croatia will do battle with Nigeria in a Group D clash on Saturday at the ongoing 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Rakitic, who is one of the star players for the France 1998 semifinalists, was speaking with Croatian reporters earlier this week.
In his words via Sportske Novosti, Rakitic said: “We know how important it is to have a good tournament, and we have to do everything to beat Nigeria, even though nothing has been resolved.”
”We know they’re a dangerous team with good players, we have to be ready. We know that everyone is expecting to be right, we first, I’m confident we will be ready.” He added.
