Atletico Madrid will face French giants Olympique in the final of the UEFA Europa League (UEL) in Lyon on May 16 after they saw off Arsenal 2-1 on aggregate in their last four tie.
French international striker Antoine Griezmann scored late in the first leg last Thursday to earn a 1-1 draw at the Emirates Stadium and that proved to be very important with Arsenal nemesis Diego Costa scoring just before the halftime interval to give his side a 1-0 win in their second leg clash at the new Wanda Metropolitano and a place in the final scheduled for the city of Lyon.
Marseille could win the UEL on familiar territory after they booked their place with a 3-2 aggregate win over Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg.
They had won the home leg 2-0 before their Austrian opponents returned the favour in equal measure thus leading to extra time because of a 2-2 aggregate scoreline.
Substitute Rolando then struck in the second half of extra time to take Marseille to the final against a Salzburg that finished the game with 10 men.
