Arsenal Kaned Again As Tottenham Enjoy Sweet London Derby Revenge

Tottenham have the bragging rights in North London after Mauricio Pochettino’s men defeated rivals Arsenal 1-0 in the Premier League clash played at their adopted Wembley Stadium to further strengthen their bid for a top-four finish.

Tottenham edged a largely forgettable first half with Harry Kane fluffing the best chance as both teams cancelled each other out but the English international striker made no mistake from a devilish cross from left-back Ben Davies to score the only goal of the game just after halftime.

Kane has now scored seven goals in seven Premier League games against Arsenal in the North London Derby.

Tottenham were the dominant side and they could have added to their goal tally if not for the heroics of Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech.

However, the home side could have rued those missed opportunities if Arsenal substitute Alexandre Lacazette had finished off a very good chance late in the game.

With the win, Tottenham (52 points) enjoy sweet revenge against their rivals having lost 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium in their earlier Premier League clash this season.

They climb above Chelsea (50 points) and Liverpool (51 points) into third spot in the race for next season’s UEFA Champions League qualification while Arsenal are seven points further back in 6th spot with just 11 games left to play in the league.
