Anthony Joshua Vs Kubrat Pulev Bout Breaks Cardiff Record

The bout between IBF and WBA world heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua, and challenger, Kubrat Pulev has emerged as the fastest ever selling event in Cardiff.

A record-breaking 70,000 tickets have already been sold for the 28 October fight inside the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.

27-year-old Joshua, who is set to defend his IBF heavyweight title against the Bulgarian, knocked out now retired Wladimir Klitschko in front of 90,000 fans at Wembley last April.

Speaking to Sky Sports, promoter Eddie Hearn said: “It was another incredible day at the box office for Anthony Joshua as he continues to cement his place as the biggest draw in World boxing,”

“The support he receives from the British public is incredible and has been an integral part of his success – the fans will be in for a great night on October 28 and we thank them all for their support.”

According to boxing website, BoxingScene, Joshua vs Pulev fight has broken the record of Muhammad Ali’s fight against Leon Spinks at the New Orleans Superdrome in 1978, a bout attended by 63,000 fans.
