AFCON 2023: Equatorial Guinea Draw Against Djibouti In Friendly, Go 10 Games Unbeaten

Equatorial Guinea was held to a 1-1 draw by Djibouti in a friendly game played in Malabo on Tuesday, 9 January.

The friendly is part of preparations for Equatorial Guinea ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Following the draw, Equatorial Guinea have now gone 10 games without defeat, recording five wins and five draws.

Nzalang Nacional are in Group A alongside Côte d’Ivoire, Nigeria’s Super Eagles and Guinea-Bissau.

On Sunday, 14 January, they will take on the Eagles in their first game of the competition.

This is their fourth AFCON appearance since debuting as co-host in 2012.

Their best performance was a fourth place finish when they hosted the 2015 edition.
