BREAKING: AS Monaco Sporting Director Michael Emenalo Sacked

Former Chelsea Technical Director, Michael Emenalo has been sacked by AS Monaco after joining in November of 2017.

Emenalo spent ten years with Chelsea before finally leaving to Monaco but his time in the south of France has also been caught short after just a year and two months.

The 53-year-old resigned from Chelsea stating that he wanted to spend more time with his family, however, took the role as Sporting Director of the Ligue 1 club just three weeks later.

Emenalo could be followed by current manager, Thierry Henry, who is currently suspended giving rise to speculations that he has already been sacked, with the former champions’ disastrous campaign so far which has seen them slip to 19th on the log.

Monaco have won just three out of 21 league matches and have just picked up 15 points in total, with Emenalo’s transfer policy being blamed by supporters for the club’s downfall.

Back at Chelsea, Emenalo was often the subject of fans’ protests with certain supporters blaming him for the club’s transfer decisions and the direction that they have gone in over transfer windows.
