NPFL: LMC Passes Judgements After Plateau United Plea

After the violence metted out on match officials by fans on Matchday 1 of the 2018/2019 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), the League Management Company (LMC) has decided to reduce its earlier sanctions on Plateau United.

The LMC via its social media handles directed that the Jos based club would no longer play their home matches at the Kwara State Sports Complex, but will now play at the Lafia Township Stadium after they sent a plea to the league organizers.

Plateau United were banished to Ilorin for their next three home games after the incident – which they already played one against El-Kanemi Warriors winning 2-0 – and fined five million naira.

Plateau’s Matchday 5 fixture against Kano Pillars and Matchday 8 fixture against Go Round FC will be affected by the banishment.

Plateau are fourth in Group B of the abridged league, managing four points from four matches (W1, D2, L1).
